Do I need to deal with customs when sending from the UK to Australia?

You won’t need to deal with customs directly, but you will need to make sure that you have supplied all of the information they legally require. If the value of the contents in your package comes to a total of less than £270, you will need to fill out and attach a CN22 customs form to the parcel. This must include the name and full address of the sender in clear, legible print. If the value of the contents of the parcel comes to more than £270, a CN23 customs declaration form must also be filled out. You don’t need to worry about this too much though. When you book in your parcel, we’ll do the hard work for you in terms of choosing which form you need to fill out. We’ll send them across to you to fill in your details and we’ll take care of the rest!

How should I address my parcel for delivery to Australia?

Australian addresses are quite simple and can usually be written over 3 lines. The top line should be the name of the person to whom you are sending the parcel. The middle line should contain the details of the number of the building and the name of the street or PO Box number. The last line should be the town/city, state and postcode. You should make sure to write this line in capital letters. The word “Australia” should then be written clearly underneath the address, as demonstrated in the example below.
